Glow Prep & Care
Spray Tan Prep
Achieving the perfect glow is a collaboration between us. Preparing your skin properly ensures the most flawless, long-lasting result.
• Remove any unwanted hair 24–48 hours before your appointment. This helps prevent the tan clinging to hair follicles and ensures a smooth, even finish.
• Exfoliate thoroughly in the days leading up to your tan, paying particular attention the night before. Focus on elbows, knees, ankles and any dry areas. This removes dead skin cells and creates the perfect base for your glow.
• Avoid applying moisturiser, oils or deodorant on the day of your appointment unless advised otherwise.
Proper prep = perfect glow.
On The Day of Your Spray Tan
There are a few simple things you can do to ensure the best results:
• Avoid wearing deodorant, perfume or make-up to your appointment.
• Do not apply moisturiser, including facial creams.
• Wear loose, dark clothing after your tan to avoid transfer and ensure comfort.
Your skin should be clean and product-free before your appointment.
What To Expect
Whether you’re a regular or new to spray tanning — welcome. The process is quick, comfortable and designed to make you feel at ease.
I will set up a professional spray tan tent and machine in your home (ideally near a plug socket). Before we begin, I’ll run through a short consultation to determine your desired shade and ensure everything is tailored to you.
I provide disposable underwear, sticky foot pads and a hair net. You’re welcome to wear your own underwear if preferred, though older garments are recommended as some transfer may occur.
Most clients choose to tan topless for a seamless finish, but you are welcome to wear a bikini top or bra if you feel more comfortable.
Please remove all jewellery before we begin.
Barrier cream will be applied to hands, elbows, knees, feet and any particularly dry areas to ensure a natural, even result.
The tan application itself takes just a few minutes. I’ll guide you through simple positioning to ensure full, even coverage.
Once complete, you’ll be gently dried using the machine.
And that’s it — your glow is complete.
Post Spray Tan Tips
Whether you’ve chosen an Express or Overnight Tan, the rinsing process is similar.
• For your first shower, use warm water only. Rinse until the water runs clear.
• Pat your skin dry — do not rub.
• After your first rinse, you may resume using deodorant and light skincare products.
• From your second shower onwards, you may use shower gel as normal.
• Avoid baths, swimming and oil-based products, as these can cause your tan to fade more quickly.
Moisturising daily is essential to prolong your glow.
Hydrated skin = longer-lasting colour.
