Spray Tan Prep

To achieve the perfect Spray Tan its a two way street between both you and us providing the spray tan. So here are our Glow Girl top tips to do prior to your Spray Tanning appointment.

• Remove any unwanted hair 24-48 hours prior to your spraytan. This is to avoid any Tan clinging onto your hair shafts which can potentially leave an uneven finish.

• Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate! The week leading up to your Spray tan try and get into the habit of giving yourself a scrub each time you pop in the shower. The shower you have the day before your tan is the most important. So grab those exfoliators and body scrubs and make sure you give everywhere a good old scrub down. This is to scrub slough off the top layer of any dead skin cells. This will form a smooth base that your Spray Tan will stick to.

On the day of your Spray Tan

On the day of your Spray Tan there are a number of things you can do to achieve the best results following your Spray Tan.

• Avoid using Deodorant

• Avoid using Perfume

• Avoid wearing Make Up

• Avoid wearing Moisturisers including any face creams.

• Try to wear loose clothing throughout the day.

What to Expect

For those of you that are famiiar with the Spray Tan process you'll know how this works. For those of you that are new here, firstly - welcome! It's really not as bad as it seems. Here is just a bit of info on what to expect on the day.

Whilst I wait for you to get undressed, I will set up my tent and machine which ideally needs to be close to a plug socket. I may ask you a few questions prior to Spray Tanning you. I'm not being nosey, this is for Consultation purposes. However, the majority of these details will be covered upon the booking system.

I supply each of my clients with a hair net, sticky feet pads and an optional disposable thong. You are more than welcome to wear your own knickers, however I would recommend using an old pair as these will get tan on them.

The majority of my clients go topless (sometimes completely naked) for that all over natural tan. If you feel more comfortable wearing a bikini top or old bra then thats absolutely fine too.

Remove all Jewllery

Once you are ready, I will ask you to pop into the tent and start the preperation process on your skin. This includes barrier cream being applied to your hands, elbows, knees and feet and any other particular dry areas you may have.

Now its time to tan you - woo hoo! I will always start on your back and advise you how to move around the tent to ensure your body is completely covered.

Once the Tan is complete, you will be able to dry off with the machine.

Voila..... Your Spray Tan is complete!

Post Spray Tan Tips

Whether you have had an Express Tan or Overnight Tan, the rinsing process remains the same.

• During your first shower, please only use warm water and continue to rinse until the water runs clear.

• Pat dry to avoid an uneven Tan.

• Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise! (It's the key to prolonging your tan)

• After your first shower you can go back to using deodrant, make up etc.

• During your second shower, you can use shower gel etc.

• Do not bathe or use oil based products as these can remove your tan.
